For the past 10+ years, FHA has sponsored thousands of students, who mostly live in developing ethnic areas. Many are children of pastors or are orphans. Although there is a 9-year compulsory education policy in China, some low-income families have difficulty in sustaining the general costs of living as well as the cost of books. High-school and university tuition costs can therefore be an extra burden for many families.
FHA often encounters some students who feel called to pursue theological training and are dedicated to full-time ministry but cannot afford to do so. Through recommendations of the local churches, FHA hopes to support these students to fulfill their dreams.
Currently FHA is supporting various kinds of students in need. But every year, we receive many more applications for financial assistance than we have funding for, especially applications for assistance in university studies and theological training. We wholeheartedly invite you to join our sponsorship program to make educational dreams come true for these poor students.
Sponsorship program
The Sponsorship program mainly targets students in the poor minority-dominating areas of mainland China. For more than a decade, Fountainhead has provided funding for more than a thousand students from different ethnic areas in China. The scholarships donated by caring people are mainly used to subsidize the families of poor primary and middle school students, to fund the tuition fees of impoverished senior high school students, college students, and theology students. The annual visits, caring, and follow-up of the students and their families are arranged by our co-workers.

Student Follow-up
The low-income students do not only need financial support they are also vulnerable in heart and need holistic care. In line with the biblical principle, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’, FHA supports them financially while simultaneously visiting them and following up with them through written communication, encouraging and uplifting them.
Camp
FHA concerns the holistic development of the sponsored students. Every year FHA organizes English camps at various levels for students (university, primary and middle schools). Hope these camps can build a challenging English-learning environment for students, and at the same time, engrave a memorable and joyful memory in their life.
In addition to the personal visit and traditional letter communication, camps for university and seminary students are also held annually to equip them to cope with the difficulties encountered before they graduate, and also to shape a sound outlook on life and life values.
