Our history

Our first Homes of Fountainhead was established on February 22, 2008 as a result of a year full of natural disasters and industrial accidents in China. In the midst of these events, a group of abandoned girls in dire need emerged from the situation. These orphaned children originated from very poor families and were not provided the basic care required to survive. This led to the creation of our Homes of Fountainhead, whereby a group of seven girls aged 6 to 12 years old were taken into our care.

With the objective of sharing God’s love, Fountainhead Association set out to create the Homes of Fountainhead to offer loving care to the needed and poor children and to raise them up with the best training and nourishment. Our aim is to transform these girls into strong women with exemplary ethics, good moral, high standards, hard working, and a sense of community, through our proper care and sacrificial love. Centered on the concept of “family”, the Home is staffed with a dedicated principal and counselors who serve as the children’s life mentors with the most committed service.

HOF Poverty Relief Center

Since its establishment in 2012, we have been assisting local poverty relief in the spirit of “remember the source while drinking water” and “it’s more blessed to give than to receive”. Projects include scholarships, disasters relief, sweaters donation, and subsidizing some impoverished villages to build water lifting facilities. , road construction, etc. Every poverty-relief project is carried out by local co-workers in person to respond to their actual needs.

HOF2 – Child Care Center

Some children live on the mountain and need to travel 3-4 hours daily for school, which is  tough and inconvenient. Those who are from poverty stricken families living in remote mountains  even give up schooling. In November 2015, the Homes of Fountainhead Poverty Relief Center responded to an invitation from the local government to set up a child care center near the central school. The center aims to accommodate 40 grade 1 to grade 4 boys and girls who live in the poverty stricken mountainous areas so that they can go to the school nearby.

Sponsorship

Purpose
• To ensure that every child has sufficient fund to cover the basic needs of shelter, food, and education.

• Aside from financial support, we strongly encourage their sponsors to write to the children to build a stronger tie.

• We hope that in times these sponsors may also visit the sponsored child to build a deeper relationship.
